FaQ Ayurvedic trainings

  • Ayurvedic medicine is the traditional Indian medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years (probably at least 5000).

  • Techniques, stimulations and manipulations by applying warm medicinal oils (Tailam), which are applied according to the patient's constitution.

The oils lubricate and strengthen the muscles and joints, fortifying and toning the tissues.

Through the action of massage, the practitioner can interpret, receive and modify messages from the body.

In this way, they can help the person being massaged to slow down the degenerative process, improve resistance to stress, calm the mind, strengthen the immune system and develop the body's self-healing powers.

This treatment can help to resolve imbalances caused by insomnia, depression, fatigue, the menstrual cycle, digestion, tension and spinal contractions.

    • It rebalances the doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and brings rejuvenation, strengthens the immune system and has a detoxifying and calming effect. It improves resistance to stress and resolves problems such as insomnia and depression.

    • It contains different types of manipulation that reflect the five primary elements of Ayurveda. These techniques are :

caressing, rubbing, kneading, striking, shaking, rotating, bending, balancing, stretching, twisting, pressing, vibrating and draining.

    • It also includes some stimulation of energy points (marmas).

    • Abyangam is applied as a massage, using pads, cotton wool or plastic circles, depending on the treatment. It can also be used to manipulate different parts of the body, joints and muscles.

    • It balances on a mental, emotional, energetic, physical and spiritual level.

    • One of the aims of Abyangam is to balance the three actions of circulation, digestion and rest.

    • Its divine principle is the well-being of the individual.

    • ‘The three doshas in massage":

    • Vata: is represented by circulation, both blood and energy.

    • Pitta: represented by transformation, the digestion of toxins and fats.

    • Kapha: represents rest for the body, soul and mind.

  • The course is taught in English and translated into French.
